The manufacturing industry in Indonesia is showing positive growth amidst uncertain global economic conditions due to the crisis and recession. This is reflected in the achievement of Indonesia’s manufacturing Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) in October 2022, which was at the level of 51.8. A position above 50.0 indicates the manufacturing sector is in an expansionary stage. The government emphasized that based on the Making Indonesia roadmap, the food and beverage industry is one of seven sectors that are being accelerated to adopt industrial technology 4.0.
