The team at Yorkshire Tea have unveiled their latest brew and this time they have taken inspiration from that tea-time classic, the Bakewell tart.
Yorkshire Tea’s new Cherry Bakewell Brew is a proper brew with an irresistible almondy, jammy twist to stir up your breaktime.
Penny Webster, Brand Manager, said: “Yorkshire Tea’s proper breaks range is aimed at the tea drinker who wants something different for their breaktime brew. This new blend is the latest to join our much-loved Malty Biscuit Brew and Caramelised Biscuit Brew. We know the range brings new drinkers to Yorkshire Tea and with its classic flavour and bright pink packaging, we think Cherry Bakewell Brew will really stand out on shelf.”
Kate Halloran, Tea Development Manager at Yorkshire Tea and the brains behind the new brew said: “I loved Cherry Bakewell tarts when I was a kid, so I loved coming up with the recipe for a proper brew that matched my memories of these iconic bakes. The result is a naturally sweet blend that works a treat with or without milk. I can’t wait for people to give it a try!”
Yorkshire Tea headed to Derbyshire to unveil their latest product with the Original Bakewell Pudding Shop in Bakewell hosting them for the day. The shop’s windows and shelves saw their usual contents of puddings and tarts replaced by hundreds of pink Cherry Bakewell Brew boxes for the day. The new brew was also available for customers to try.
Joining Yorkshire Tea in Bakewell was Great British Bake Off’s Liam Charles who spent the day filming for the digital campaign for Cherry Bakewell Brew which launches on the 22nd of July.
Cherry Bakewell Brew is currently available in Morrisons and will be available in other retails later in the year. Made from a Yorkshire Tea blend with natural flavourings, it is nut-free and gluten-free.
