Cheshire ice cream producer Snugburys has launched a nationwide home delivery service as it looks to expand beyond its regional customer base and capitalise on growing demand for premium ice cream.
The family-owned business, which has been producing ice cream from its dairy farm near Nantwich for four decades, will now offer direct-to-consumer delivery across the UK for the first time.
The move marks a significant step for the business as it seeks to grow its reach beyond the North West while maintaining its focus on handcrafted products made using British cream and homemade inclusions produced on-site.
Led by sisters Hannah, Cleo and Kitty Hill, Snugburys has built a strong following through its farm shop, visitor attraction and retail offering. The new delivery operation will initially feature a selection of the company’s best-selling flavours, including Chocolate Brownie, Sea Salt Caramel and Yum Yum.
The launch comes as premium products continue to drive growth within the ice cream category, with consumers increasingly seeking indulgent treats and affordable luxuries.
“Launching nationwide delivery is a major milestone for us as a business,” Kitty Hill, director at Snugburys, said. “We’ve spent decades building the Snugburys brand in and around Cheshire and developing products that people genuinely love, so being able to reach customers across the UK is incredibly exciting. This expansion allows us to bring our ice cream to a much wider audience while staying true to the quality and craftsmanship that define the brand.”
The company said the new fulfilment operation has been developed to support growing demand while creating new commercial opportunities and expanding its customer base.
Nationwide delivery launched online at the start of June.
