Griddle Bakery’s new frozen bakery NPD features regeneratively grown wholegrain flour and launches in Ocado on 9th November, followed by Tesco Spring 2027.
UK frozen bakery brand Griddle Bakery has partnered with regenerative food and farming business Wildfarmed to launch Wholegrain Banana Pancake Bites, a new frozen breakfast and snacking product made with simple ingredients.
Launching in Ocado on 9th November, the new product contains around 30 mini pancake bites per pack, with an RRP of £3.79.
Made using Wildfarmed wholegrain regenerative flour, banana purée and eggs, the bites offer a convenient twist on traditional pancakes in a bite-sized format. Designed for breakfast, snacking and busy family routines, they can be heated straight from frozen in minutes using an air fryer, frying pan or microwave.
The collaboration was born out of the Tesco Accelerator 2025 programme and brings together Griddle Bakery’s expertise in frozen bakery with Wildfarmed’s regeneratively grown flour. The launch reflects both brands’ ambitions to make quality, convenient bakery products using simple ingredients and more considered farming practices.
Sophie McGregor, Co-Founder of Griddle Bakery, said:
“We know our community loves pancakes, so we wanted to bring it to the table in a new and exciting way. These easy to eat bites bring a bit of extra fun, and less faff to a childhood favourite, whilst staying true to our ethos of nutritional values and kitchen cupboard ingredients. It’s a win for active lives with or without children.”
“This product launch is another proof point that we’ll continue to keep challenging industry standards – that the bakery you buy from supermarkets can be made without all of the preservatives and emulsifiers too often found.”
Griddle Bakery uses flash-freezing technology to freeze its products shortly after baking, helping preserve freshness while allowing shoppers to enjoy bakery products at their convenience.
Ella Harland, Co-Founder of Griddle Bakery, added:
“Working with Wildfarmed has really taken this product to the next level to show just how much we can collectively do to create a better bakery system. From removing preservatives to reducing waste but also protecting our farmers and our supply chain.
It’s easy to think of it as a luxury, that we will always have wheat and bakery products available, but that won’t be the case if we don’t respect our agricultural system”.
The launch builds on Griddle Bakery’s mission to offer convenient frozen bakery made with recognisable ingredients, bringing a new snacking format to the frozen aisle.
Adriana Alvarez, Revenue Director of Wildfarmed, added:
“Seeing Wildfarmed flour hit the frozen bakery aisle with Griddle is a brilliant step forward for regenerative farming. By putting soil health, biodiversity and British farmers at the heart of how these pancakes are made, we’re showing that everyday food can make a difference. Better food starts with better farming – and pancakes are a great place to start.”

About Wildfarmed
Wildfarmed is a food and farming business on a mission to accelerate the world’s transition to regenerative agriculture and make better food grown in nature-rich landscapes available to everyone.
Wildfarmed believes that the food choices each of us makes every day play a key role in helping move us towards a more resilient future.
Founded in 2018 by Andy Cato, George Lamb and Edd Lees, Wildfarmed has built a network of farmers, businesses and consumers who are working together to change the way we grow food.
Wildfarmed’s community of farmers grow wheat, oats and barley in nature-rich landscapes. Our unique farming practices are designed to work with nature, rather than against it to deliver positive environmental outcomes. These focus on improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, minimising water pollution and reducing carbon – all of which help to bring UK fields back to life.
Passionate about increasing people’s awareness of how the food we eat is grown and improving our collective understanding of the impact it has on the environment, Wildfarmed have built a powerful brand which is driving interest and adoption of regenerative agriculture across supply chains.
Wildfarmed flour, barley and oats are used by over 1000 food businesses from micro-bakeries to cafe chains, and from Michelin-starred to high-street restaurants. Our partners across the UK include Greggs, Fanco Manca, Jolene and The Fat Duck.
Wildfarmed regenerative products are now available at Tesco, Ocado and Waitrose.
