Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is central to SIAL Paris’ mission, and it influences every aspect of SIAL’s actions, from SIAL Talks and competitions to the experiences at the show. SIAL’s goal is to address future environmental and food challenges with unwavering determination.

Transparency is fundamental to SIAL’s approach, along with the positive impact its aims to create on ecosystems. SIAL Paris is introducing two new initiatives: the “SIAL For Change” Award and the “SIAL SUMMITS.”

As part of the “Own the Change” initiative, SIAL Paris, in partnership with CSR consultancy Hyssop, proudly announces its first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award: SIAL For Change. This award highlights SIAL Paris’ dedication to encouraging sustainable and socially responsible practices in the global food industry.

SIAL For Change aims to recognise exhibiting companies that have integrated CSR into their strategies, contributing to a more equitable and environmentally responsible future. The award is open to all exhibitors registered for SIAL 2024, with the entry fee included in the registration costs. Participants can showcase their CSR innovations and practices.

Entries will be evaluated on five CSR pillars:

  1. Company and CSR: Management, internal engagement, responsible purchasing.
  2. Innovation and Products: Responsible innovation.
  3. Sector-Specific Issues: Social environment, inclusion, working conditions.
  4. Company in Society: Consumer health, waste reduction, local engagement.
  5. Company and SIAL: Exhibition stand, transport.

Key Dates:

  • 15 April 2024: Entries open
  • 18 July 2024: Entries close
  • September 2024: Jury deliberations
  • 22 October 2024: Awards ceremony at the SIAL Talks stage

Visibility and Recognition: Shortlisted and winning companies will receive extensive visibility before, during, and after SIAL Paris, including media coverage, use of the “Selection – SIAL For Change 2024” logo, and promotion through various channels.
