Trois Frères Distillery has announced a new partnership with Kirsch Import, who has assumed distribution of the company’s award-winning Takamaka rums across Germany as of 1st January 2024. Based in Bremen, Kirsch manages more than 4,500 high-quality spirits, including Germany’s most extensive single malt whisky portfolio.

The news comes as Takamaka confirms it is now available in more than 50 markets across three continents as part of its continued global expansion plan. After a hugely successful 2023, which saw expansion into 17 new markets, including its first entry into Asia in collaboration with Bring the Rocks in Taiwan and La Maison du Whisky across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam, Takamaka is looking to continue its success into the new year.

“To be the new partner at Takamaka’s side, and to expand our rum portfolio with the company’s diverse bottlings, makes us proud,” Christoph Kirsch, CEO and owner of Kirsch Import said. “We are very honoured by the trust Takamaka has placed in us and our sales expertise. With great anticipation, we look forward to achieving our shared objectives.”

Founded by Bernard and Richard d’Offay, Takamaka was created over 20 years ago and is now the number one spirit in the Seychelles. Launched by the brothers in 2002, the family-owned company and distillery set out to create rums that they and their fellow islanders would enjoy. 2023 has taken Takamaka past the one million bottle mark, a remarkable achievement for this Indian Ocean Island distillery.
