Ipswich is buzzing with excitement once again as the annual Coffee Art Throwdown is set to return this April.
Following the success of the 2024 Coffee Art Throwdown, independent coffee company, Paddy & Scott’s, will host the second thrilling event at its Ipswich Waterfront Cafe on 3rd April.
Twelve talented baristas will face off in a knockout tournament as they grind, brew and compete to determine the best pour: promising an adrenaline-pumping spectacle as intense as a Saturday night watching Gladiators!
Registered competitors hail from esteemed establishments such as Honey & Harvey, Fork Hadleigh, Applaud Coffee and Gough Hotels. Spectators will be able to enjoy the caffeine-charged action for free, as the tournament celebrates coffee culture.
The bar will be set high with three esteemed judges on the panel: David, the winner of the 2024 Throwdown; Emma from Conti; and the fabulous Emma Haines from Algrano.
The event is being sponsored by Conti and LA Brewery, and will bring together top-tier coffee artistry, an exciting showdown, and an electric atmosphere, with incredible giveaways from Moma, Birchall, and IBC Simply, along with enticing prizes from Jaguar Beverage, making this event even more enticing.
All proceeds raised from this year’s event will support the charity Inspire, which focuses on guiding young people away from uncertain futures towards pathways that promote wellbeing, professional development, and personal growth. Donation buckets will be available throughout the event.
Known for its innovative approach, Paddy & Scott’s prioritises fair wages for the coffee farmers it partners with—a commitment evident throughout its entire supply chain. Their flexible approach to recruitment ensures a passionate and values-driven team, acting as the catalyst for their success and mission to change the world one cup at a time.
