Established in 1978, Amathus Drinks provides premium wines and spirits from select producers from around the world. What began as a single store in Palmers Green has blossomed into a thriving enterprise with nine retail locations in London, Bath, and Brighton. Rapidly expanding its portfolio,
Amathus Drinks has become a trusted supplier to some of London’s finest bars, restaurants, and clubs. In 1999, Amathus Drinks began importing exclusive agency brands from around the world. Amathus Drinks grew its portfolio of exclusive producers including Pappy Van Winkel, Germana Cachaca, Corralejo Tequila, Cartron Liqueurs and most recently Tequila Komos, many of which are still exclusive to Amathus Drinks today! As its popularity grew amongst the London dining scene, Amathus Drinks quickly supplied premium on-trade accounts, such as the famed Hakkasan, its longest-serving trade customer. Now in 2023, Amathus Drinks sales continue to rise across retail, trade, and its newly formed e-commerce sites.
To celebrate Amathus Drinks’ 45th anniversary in style, the brand is launching eight new limited edition special release bottles this September and October. With a shared passion for celebrating exceptional and niche producers, the Amathus Drinks team, led by Managing Director Harry Georgiou, has collaborated closely with various distillers. Together, the team has carefully selected exclusive casks, blends, or vintages to mark this significant milestone, offering them exclusively through Amathus Drinks.
The new offerings will be available following a staggered release across September and October, with the first two new products available to buy now, and the final two available to purchase from 9th October. The new range is a mix of old and new producers from around the world, championing the unique, exclusive and exceptional within the sector, breaking waves within the drink’s marketplace and creating unique spirits that Amathus Drinks is proud to represent.
Following Amathus Drinks’ successful 45 years of trading, it is expanding its store portfolio by opening two new stores at the beginning of 2024. With seven stores currently in London and sites in Brighton and Bath, Amathus Drinks is to open two new stores in Oxford and Wimbledon in 2024, expanding its store offering to 11.
