As part of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s (RNLI) 200th anniversary celebrations, award-winning snack-maker, Burts, is introducing limited-edition RNLI pack takeovers throughout the months of July and August 2024 only. Featuring RNLI heroes, the exclusive pack designs will be featured on the two most popular Burts flavours; Lightly Sea Salted and Sea Salt & Malt Vinegar.

Since the partnership began in 2021, Burts have raised £220k for the charity, sharing vital water safety messages and highlighted the importance of the RNLI’s work for locals and thousands of visitors to Devon every year. The new limited-edition packs will continue Burts support for the incredible lifesaving work of the RNLI.

The packs will be available from independent shops, cafes, delis and pubs, as well as retailers Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Co-op regionally whilst stock lasts at £1.20 RRP 40g pack, and £2.25 RRP 150g pack. The limited-edition RNLI packs will help the charity to share its vital ‘Float To Live’ messaging and with a QR code on the back of the packs, will help to increase donations.

“We’re very proud of our ongoing partnership with the RNLI,” said Head of Burts’ Sales Claire Wade. “It’s a charity that’s close to our hearts, as well as those of our local community.

“We are thrilled to be able to contribute and be part of the RNLI’s 200th anniversary celebrations by creating these new limited-edition designed packs and raise further awareness of the amazing work they do. What’s so special about these packs is that they feature some of our RNLI legends that we’ve been able to build relationships with and see first-hand the incredible work the volunteers do.”

Anna Jones, RNLI Partnerships Manager, said: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Burts and grateful for their ongoing support. The new limited-edition packs are a great way to recognise our 200th birthday and highlight the important work RNLI lifesavers do keeping people safe in and around the water.”

The RNLI has saved over 144,000 lives since its formation 200 years ago which demonstrates the crucial work that the charity performs each day. The charity is made up of trustworthy, courageous individuals, making the waters around not only Devon, but the whole of the UK and Ireland a safer place.
