Shipyard American Session Pale Ale is the latest new beer from CMBC, bringing a taste of the East Coast of the USA to British drinkers. Established in Portland, Maine by the still family-owned Shipyard Brewery, the Shipyard brand is well-known in the UK for its high-quality and authentic ales, including Shipyard IPA and Shipyard Pale Ale.
With its delightfully golden colour, the new Shipyard American Session Pale Ale is a refreshing, full flavour and easy drinking American pale ale, at 3.4% ABV. Bursting with tropical fruity aromas of papaya, lychee and passionfruit, the ale is dry hopped with a quartet of four American hop varieties – Chinook, Cascade, Columbus and Centennial.
Jo Marshall, Director of Marketing for Ales & Craft, CMBC, said: “Shipyard’s mission is to take great, refreshing beer that’s full of flavour and share it around the world. We’re proud to take another fantastic step by sharing the new Shipyard American Session Pale Ale with British fans.
“Beer drinkers increasingly want more choice and high-quality experiences with their drinks, whilst they are also more aware of moderation. As shared in the name, the new beer is a delightfully sessionable ale that fulfils both these needs, using bold American hops and fine ingredients to craft a brew that is perfect for enjoying with family and friends.”
Rolling out across the Off Trade over October and November in 4x and 10x440ml packs as well as in 500ml bottle, Shipyard American Session Pale Ale will be available in major retailers, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons and Waitrose.
