Fast-growing drinks brand, Hip Pop, has launched a new range of CBD infused Kombucha.
Available in three flavours: Passionfruit & Guava, Cherry & Blackberry and Blood Orange & Grapefruit, each can of the plant-based drink is fortified with 1 billion live bacteria and contains a market-leading 20mg active CBD, combining all the gut friendly qualities of kombucha with the therapeutic benefits of CBD.
Hip Pop’s CBD Kombucha is available to purchase from the brand-new Hip Pop CBD website and will also be distributed by Suma from April.
Originally launched in 2019 as ‘Booch & Brew’ by friends Emma Thackray and Kenny Goodman, the brand has gone from strength to strength, having also secured listings with Harrods, Booths and Health Store and doubled revenue each year.
Emma Thackray, co-founder of Hip Pop, said: “CBD is set to be a £1billion industry in the UK by 2025, and we’ve wanted to expand into the space for some time to offer people a buzz without the booze.
“Our CBD kombucha cans contain all the benefits of our original kombucha, with the added bonus of 100% plant-based CBD which is novel foods compliant and pure 100% Cannabidiol.
“The public are becoming increasingly aware of the calming benefits of CBD, but there’s a growing body of evidence showing the wider potential for CBD including benefits to gut health, and that’s why this feels like a logical next step for the brand.”
Headquartered in Cheshire, Hip Pop has doubled its headcount over the last 12 months and now employs a team of 12.
The brand has been recognised by multiple industry awards and was awarded two stars at the Great Taste Awards, as well as being named Best Organic Kombucha Brand 2021 at the LUXlife Food & Drink Awards and being nominated for ‘Best Indie Drinks Producer’ at the Manchester Food & Drink Festival.
